The Reflecting Pool
Lives in limbo, dreams are shattered,
Hearts broken into tiny pieces.
One thoughtless act destroys a lifetime of love.
Maimed and unsure what to do next…
Depression wears you down.
Paste a smile on your face…
Children to care for, pain to hide.
Tear stained face, reflects back at you,
Time will heel your wounds.
Love will smile upon you again!
Keep giving of yourself to those you love…
Pain will be replaced with trust.
A smile will grow within your heart…
Children laughing, joy will spring forth.
